AI resume analysis, consent, and candidate data
AI resume analysis uses candidate CV content to generate a screening summary for your team. Because this involves candidate data and automated assistance, teams should make the notice clear on public forms.
Candidate notice on public forms
When AI resume analysis is enabled, the public application form can show candidates a notice explaining that their CV may be processed to help the hiring team review their application.
Team owners can choose whether that consent is optional or required. If it is required, candidates must accept the notice before submitting a form that includes a CV.
What data is used
Role.so uses the uploaded resume file and the candidate pack context to create the analysis. This can include the role, company information, interview stages, and other hiring context from the pack.
The generated analysis is stored with the applicant profile so your team can review it later.
How teams should use the output
Treat AI resume analysis as a decision-support tool. Your team remains responsible for reading the applicant profile, checking the resume, and deciding the next hiring step.
If the resume is updated or the first analysis fails, a team member can run the analysis again from the applicant profile.
