Using AI resume analysis

Applicants

AI resume analysis is available from applicant profiles when your team has enabled the feature and the applicant has submitted a supported CV.

Before you start

  1. Ask a team owner to enable AI resume analysis in team settings.
  2. Make sure the application form includes a CV upload field.
  3. Confirm the candidate has submitted a supported resume file and, when required, accepted the AI resume analysis notice.

Run an analysis

  1. Open the applicants dashboard.
  2. Open the applicant you want to review.
  3. Find the resume analysis card on the applicant profile.
  4. Select the resume file if the applicant has more than one supported file.
  5. Run the analysis.

When the analysis is ready, Role.so shows a summary, fit signals, possible concerns, and a suggested next hiring action.

Apply the result

Use the AI output as a first screening aid. You can still open the original CV, read the full applicant details, add internal notes, and choose the final applicant status yourself.

If the suggested action is useful, apply it from the applicant profile. If it is not useful, ignore it and continue with your normal review process.

If analysis is unavailable

AI resume analysis may be unavailable when the team has not enabled it, the applicant has no supported CV, the uploaded file cannot be read, or the candidate consent required by your team is missing.
