FAQs

Do I need to provide my own kit?

You’ll need a stethoscope and pen torch. All other clinical kit is provided. Please don’t use personal kit — ours is calibrated, in-date, and within scope.

Can I work as self employed?

No. Due to the contracts we hold with clients, we can only bring staff on as PAYE employees.

Do you help with training and development?

Yes. We support your professional growth through ongoing training, mentoring, and opportunities to progress within localmedic.

What level of qualification do I need?

FREC3 or FREC4 is required as a minimum. Equivalent qualifications may be considered. If you do not hold a FREC3 qualification, please reach out as we provide this training.

What shifts are available?

Primarily evenings and weekends, usually between 7pm and 4am, with some daytime or event work available.

Do I need previous nightclub or event experience?

Not essential. We provide induction and mentoring to get you confident in these environments.

Is uniform provided?

Yes. Branded uniform is issued once you are onboarded.

How do payments work?

We pay on the 1st of the month by bank transfer.

What support is available on shift?

New starters are never left to work alone. While some shifts involve working solo once you are experienced, you will always have access to our 24/7 on-call support line to a company director. This ensures you are never without guidance if you need it.
